The Artwork

Nature is the best inspiration for me! When I'm in nature my mind flies and I'm calm and happy and most of all - I'm grateful- for the nearly infinite wealth that our world offers to us...

The Artist

Why do you create? Creation is a process like meditation for me. To be in harmony with the world and with myself. Colors are my world.
How do you work? I work in many different ways. It depends on the medium. Or I create a classic acrylic painting, or a fluid artwork with flowing acrylics, or an alcohol ink artwork on yupo paper, or a pencil drawing with or without watercolors. Not long ago I have rediscovered my graphical art by digitally combining photographies and my paintings.
Has your creative process changed over time, if so, how? Everything that surrounds me inspires, drives, influences me somehow. I'm always open to new mediums, techniques and subjects, therefore the process is always different. Art is the process - the process is art.
Do you consider yourself a full-time or part-time artist? I'm not a full-time artist at the moment but always a full-blood artist.
Besides creating, where else do you spend your time? In my job, in the streets of Munich, in all great and wonderful parks in Munich, in nature, in Italy, Turkey, Greece...
What inspires you? I'm inspired by everything around me - people, film, music, nature, photos, travel, literature, tutorials of different techniques...
What is the first piece of art you remember creating? In fact the first piece I remember is a drawing with color pens - a woman in the swimming pool. The dynamic of water and movements is created by different swinging and colored lines.
What does the term art mean to you? Art for me means create - whatever it will look like, if abstract or figurative - bringing my internal life, my soul outside to the world with the freedom for the observer to find and see his own world in it.
Name three artists that you respect? Gerhard Richter
August Macke
Gabriele Münter
What is your favourite piece of artwork? Gerhard Richter, Abstract Painting from 1992
What is your dream project? My dream project is an illustrated book for children since I have studied Communication Design.
