The Artwork

Hand is making a trace in the sand. But this trace will exist a very short period. A soon as the wind comes, there will no be anymore the trace in the sand, nor hand. All beautiful moments are blown off fast as wind, and stays only memory.

The Artist

Why do you create? I would say it's a part of my existance. It's like a sort of my exhaust; when all ideas and thoughts are crumpling in my head, I feel relieved when I put it out on the paper. Like I made my head lighter with putting all the burden out. :)
How do you work? I see or hear something what occupies my mind. Than I'm thinking about it, analyzing it from all points of view, than I think about technique how to materialize it. I like to play with a form; emphasizing certain details in composition of my interest, and putting that form in different contexts and observe how it affects it's meaning.
Has your creative process changed over time, if so, how? Yes, of course, I became much more self-critical and selective about my work. I've evolved higher standards. I'm not sure is it a good thing or more limiting thing in my creative process. I notice more things I wasn't noticing before.
Do you consider yourself a full-time or part-time artist? Well, I'm primarily a graphic designer, doing mostly commercial projects for a living, so I would say a part-time artist. :)
Besides creating, where else do you spend your time? Besides visual arts and design, I'm writing poems, I play piano and composing some music on it; I like to sing and I'm preforming in a choir. I like nature very much. I'm spending a lot of time in woods.
What inspires you? Nature and people. Most of my creations are made inspired by observing nature and people around me and interpretating it in my own way.
What is the first piece of art you remember creating? I'm creating since I was a child. I can't remember which was actually the first, but I can remember some early works. I liked to do different kind of patterns and drawing/photographing details - wood texture, close-ups of flowers, and love poems. :)
What does the term art mean to you? The way to establish connection between artist's inner world and environment in specific artist's way of functionating. And to a observer, it is a way to enrich his way of seeing, to realize points of view and forms of view he wasn't aware before. Art is some kind of divine gift which is there to bring our soules to a higher level, to bring whole society on a new level of mind.
Name three artists that you respect? Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, Rene Magritte
What is your favourite piece of artwork? Salvador Dali, The persistence of memory
