The Artwork

This painting was done in reaction to the struggles of Tribal people in Odisha , India. They were denied of the right to own their own land for commercial purposes. I used coloured ink on imported archival paper to create this piece. It tokk almost 3 months to finish this artwork and this particular work is close to my heart.

The Artist

Why do you create? Art is born with me. For me it is a spiritual quest rather than art itself.
How do you work? I paint most days during my free time, besides my design career. I work mainly on paper with ink.
Has your creative process changed over time, if so, how? My Creative process has changed with my aging... my experience in life has given me an insight about life thats what I try to paint
Do you consider yourself a full-time or part-time artist? I am a full time artist, because my design is also an art form.
Besides creating, where else do you spend your time? I'am into wildlife, Nature and trekking. beside my reading, meditation and philosophical quest.
What inspires you? Life.
What is the first piece of art you remember creating? I don't remember since I have been an artist since childhood. But I do remember a few water colour works I tried many years ago.
What does the term art mean to you? Art is an expression of an artist and his learnings, his abstract thoughts.
Name three artists that you respect? M F Hussain, Chuck Close, Stanislaw Zoladz
What is your favourite piece of artwork? I like the hyper realistic works of Chuck Close
What is your dream project? Can't disclose now, be
