The Artist

Why do you create? If I am able to capture the attention of the viewer of my Photo-Art compositions for just a few seconds, causing them to pause whilst they ponder my work, perhaps even raise a smile, then I would have achieved my objective.
How do you work? Spontaneously. Get up early, camera in hand, find a subject or setting that inspires me to "tell a story"... Click, click, click, and then give that story new life.
Has your creative process changed over time, if so, how? The creative process for me is a journey, and not a destination. For this reason, I focus heavily on "Studying the Masters" and capturing as many images as possible and in so doing, create more compelling photographic imagery.
Do you consider yourself a full-time or part-time artist? I am currently transitioning from a design software business owner to a full-time Photo Artist.
Besides creating, where else do you spend your time? Studying "The Masters" and reading literature which will enable me to fine tune my craft.
What inspires you? In “Living the Photo Artistic Life” I welcome each and every new day, treating it as another opportunity to take a blank canvas and create something special and hopefully inspiring.
What is the first piece of art you remember creating? Far too long ago to remember the "First Master Piece" that I created, well in my eyes anyway.
What does the term art mean to you? It's not so much a question of "what does the term art mean to me", but more so, a decision to actively pursuing the concept of "Living the Photo Artistic Life".
Name three artist that you respect? There are many artists/photographers who I have huge respect for, but if I had to select three, then I guess it would be Henri Cartier-Bresson, Martin Munkácsi, and Fan Ho. But this list will most likely change by next week, and each week thereafter.
What is your favourite piece of artwork? The piece that I am yet to create.
What is your dream project? I do not have a dream project as such, but just a yearning to spend the rest of my days capturing images and creating art that is inspiring to myself and those who enjoy viewing my creativity.
