The Artwork

Nobody scapes from technology. Somehow, it always catches you and integrates itself into nature

The Artist

Why do you create? I think that photography is a powerful art. That can stop time and make a moment or a subject, for ever eternal. Photography is our own personal eyewitness.
I believe that every single detail counts when you are making photos.
How do you work? First I look my surroundings, looking for details or something that is different, uncommon. Then try to make different shots, in different angles and positions.
I try to understand. I try to always, think what I like to show.
Has your creative process changed over time, if so, how? Of course. Growing older you start thinking and looking for things that being younger you never notice.
You see people, streets, animals. You see different references. You get inspired from other while you meet new people.
Do you consider yourself a full-time or part-time artist? I consider myself a part-time artist.
Besides creating, where else do you spend your time? I work in a trattoria and in my spare time, make photography for myself and different clients.
What inspires you? Anything. The art of the simple things. Silence and noise. Black and white. The chaos in simplicity.
What is the first piece of art you remember creating? The first piece I created, was a self portrait with the city lights behind. I was smoking a cigar. It was a beautiful long exposure.
What does the term art mean to you? Art is expressing yourself. It is transmitting an emotion, from one to another. Doesn't matter how.
Name three artists that you respect? Robert Capa, Sebatiao Salgado and Ian Ruhter.
What is your favourite piece of artwork? Robert Capa on D-Day.
What is your dream project? My dream project is to live doing photography. Shooting the unknown. Discovering new people and their rituals.
Photography is not only taking pictures and make them nice, is also to show, to give and to surprise with images that won't happen again.
Photography is our way to see the world.
