The Artist

Why do you create? I like to research locations and plan how I want to take images. I love lifestyle photography, with or without people. I enjoy manipulating colours and backgrounds to create something different that I would in my portrait photo sessions.
How do you work? I work alongside my family, scouting for locations that will allow me to be creative and have a point of difference.
Has your creative process changed over time, if so, how? My process is continuously evolving! From learning about the intricacies of the camera, to now the many methods of editing.
Do you consider yourself a full-time or part-time artist? I am a part time artist, with the hope of becoming full time.
Besides creating, where else do you spend your time? I spent most of my time with family and close friends, at the beach, bushwalking, reading and studying.
What inspires you? A carefree, relaxed lifestyle, calm and peaceful locations and my family.
What is the first piece of art you remember creating? A landscape photo at Docklands (Melbourne) at night was the first image I really loved.
What does the term art mean to you? Art is what you feel, how you feel and what you are passionate about.
Name three artists that you respect? Ken Duncan, Mark Gray, Anne Geddes
What is your favourite piece of artwork? Mark Gray's image - Dissolve. I love the composition and colours!
What is your dream project? A collection of images displayed in a small gallery/artisan house.
